TNG 1.7 Installation

I am having trouble installing Freelancer: The Next Generation v1.7. After I agree to the license, I try to install under the suggested directory, which is C:\Program Files\Freelancer Mod Manager. Then it says that the directory does not exist, and asks if I would like to create it. I click yes, and another window comes and says "Invalid directory".

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Did you read the onscreen directions? Apparently not.

You have to remove the " before the drive letter.

That makes no sense... unless you mean I am supposed to remove my 3 1/2 inch floppy disk drive (A).

check the installation directory it proposes

it says " C:\program files\..........

remove the " by editing the line so it will read

c:\program files\.........

Time is too short to hate everybody , just hate a few

It said to do that right on the onscreen instructions. Please follow the instructions on the page.
