Chill out, Don't let the muppets get to you. As you say if people can do better let them have a go before complaining about stuff they obviously dont under stand.

Oh and i've fixed the Moldy crows Torps if you want the cmp.
This was done because its a minor change and you guys have more important things to do.

Here, here. No doubt this mod has been a labor of love, but in your quest for a multiplayer instant gratification mod (which it is very good at) certain issues arise in single player. Perhaps the mod should be a two-part addition - one for the ships, systems, factions, weapons, etc, and another add-in for the speeds, economics, etc. that focus it for short-term multiplayer. Of course I dont know how time consuming all of this is, but if they are spearate files it wuold be feasable.

Reynen. An idea for your base idea, I'm not sure what having a flying base would be like but i (personally) reckon it would look a bit daft. So why not buy a base then have it built in a system of your choice and the bigger the base the longer it takes? Also i don't know if this has been addressed already but how about buying more than one ship and having them delivered to your base? Here is an even more interesting idea, how about allowing other players and even NPC's to dock with your base and trade, with you getting a percentage of all trade done? If all this was allowed it would create Important people in the Freelancer universe with enormous financial power which i believe would make things even more interesting. You could also hire NPC's or other players to defend your base from pirates or rival factions (NPC's or PLayers alike).

Great Mod.. To all you haters if you don't like it don't play it ! Its really simple. If you like SP get a SP mod. They are out there. LOL

Can we get some ... uh StarTrek ships in here ? Just askin. If I can cloak I wanna be in a Romulan or Klingon ship =D.

By the way if you enable the cruise engines along with the cloaking devices, it would be kinda hard to take advantage... dont you think ? All you could do would be to get the element of surprise.. right ? Come in fast decloak and start firing or cloak and escape like in Star Trek. Just an idea I'm throwing out there.

any chance there will be an intermediate release between 1.60 and 2.0? seems to me that if you just jump from 1.60 to 2.0 the changes list will mean 2.0 wont be out for an extremely long period of time.

and please bear in mind this suggestion regarding nanobots. I think that once you get past speed and armor and agility and firepower with a ship it all comes down to nanobot counts. would it be possible to come up with separate classes of nano and batt for the many classes of ships in the game?

the higher the ship class and ship specs, the LESS nano storage after a certain point, but the MORE damage EACH nano fixes up - requiring players to be more conservative with their nano usage (wait until last second to push the button) lest they run out extremely quickly!

And also, the thing with the "Press at the last second" wouldn't work as if you have a Hull Upgrade and do that, then it will crash the server.

If you are able to control and dock capital ships, perhaps it could be worth looking into the possibility to dock a fighter into a capital ship, and from there go on to control the capital ship. Perhaps "park" it right outside a planet, then take the fighter or shuttle down to a planet. Tha would be a nice feature to have in TNG 2.0

Adds that much needed variation to the choices of ships. has something for everyone not just SW, not just B-5, not just ST..but all of it combined in one huge SI-FI-O-RAMA....

one Question for the upcomming version... maybee something can be done with the monkeys?.. never really undrstood why they was in FL to begin with cus it looks like unfinished business to me..

UMM I am sure this question is asked alot but a few ships other than capital ships are warp capable in other mods ,slave 1,enterprise,voyager,mouldy crow just to name a few i know 2 i listed are capital ships but will there be any others in the mod that can do it besides capital ships ?

Also what is the eta of 2.01 my server is ver interested in this mod considering rebalance v3.01 still has its issues ...

I play tng on =The/Collective= server and it is very stable and i like all the ships !
