NooB .cmp converting/exporting help

I created a model in Milkshape, and downloaded Colin's .cmp converter. However, how do you work the thing?? You download the .zip but then there is no file to actually install? How do I convert it? I'm an extreme moding newbie. Please help, thanks.

You have to put the contents of the zip into the Milkshape folder. Then launch Milkshape, in the exporters list there will be the CMP exporter.

That didn't work but I think i discovered the problem. Maybe. There are a few panels not closed in by a face. But I the "Face" tool just wont select certain vertexes! Others, the triangle selects, but no matter which way you set the verticies, it still looks black?! Is there any way to edit through the 3D view? Any help? Thanks!

I have a slight problem with my cmp-exporter. when i try to export my models into cmp-files the program says an error has accured and the program must be terminated. i have put the zip-files into the milkshape directory and all but the exporter just doesn't seem to work for me.
i use milkshape 1.7.2.
also i make my models in gmax then export them into q3 models. import them into milkshape and then in milkshape i try to export them into cmp-files.
