HELP!FLE weird problem!

I need some help plz,,when i start FL after making a test system instead of gettin the location thing (when u enter a system there is like a message in green saying your location,New York...etc)instead of that i get all writing like as if its a code or something,and it keeps going beyond my screen..also when i get to the planet mercury(im trying to make a solar system mod) when i get to mercury everything is fine but when i click on mercury,and select "Solars" on the radar thingy,my game crashes..help plz...

Location? as in:

<?xml version 1.0=blah blah blah>

I used to get that! It only happened on my low-spec PC, but not on the new one! I just played with it like that, but I'll bet it can be fixed somehow!
