Ok i'll check the tradelanes again today..
Make sure that you don't give the same name twice.
Are you adding a tradelane to an existing system or a new one ?

misterbusy, check the forum on my web page, i have already answered the question about the ships

I would also like more details about this really annoying bug about the program not finding the dll
Can anybody experiencing the problem , send me an email with the following details ?
System used ? XP,Win2k ...
Path for the game, the Flmm, the freelancerExplorer exe, the empty_resources.dll...
And any message that arrive on the screen when the error occurs ? (a screen capture would be great )
I have recently changed the message and i should have more infos. (use the 1.5.27.0 please )

I hope to have this fix by the middle of next week if i have more details ...
Thanks.
shsan

Sealnova, do you haev the problem with the "empty_resources.dll" file when saving mods?

Post Sun Jun 01, 2003 2:23 pm

Hey Sshan... I've been working with your 2D editor for some time now... Works great!!

Any way... The point is i'm am still waiting for that you can delete systems... You said you'd do that over a month ago... I know that you're coming back on Monday, but also I have one request:

As there are loads of ship mods coming out, I wonder if it is possible to import ships into the 2D editor so that you can make them for sale. I know this maybe impossible 'cause the ships aren't actually in the SHIPS folder in DATA in the FREELANCER directory, but hey PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE try to 'cause at the moment i'm trying to use the Slave1 & A-Wing pack ships and the hostile universe ships and pack them into one mod...

Yes, it says it can't find it but after that is says; changes applied, so it works fine.I havn't installed it in the exe folder, so that might be the problem.
But it doesn't bother me.

I am back from holidays.

I'll try to find the problem of the dll and i'll try to add the deletion of a system next week.

There is also some bug reports i have to go through.
Thanks to all for sending me the information i requested.
It's really strange that it's not working with the latest version but i'll keep trying to fix it
i might have to ask one of you to test more debug version with some log or something like that to understand exactly what's the problem.

For the ships, can someone give me a list of files that are modified by the mods (or simply point me the ship mod you are trying ) ?
I'll see what i can do.

O.k. Well I was actually more thinking that you could IMPORT the ship into the editor and then add them to bases.

Anyway Here are the ships I need for my mod:
All or most of the ships from HOSTILE UNIVERSE V5
SLAVE1 & A-WING PACK if possible.

That would be great.

P.S: Sshan another thing... I tried to edit the systems from the Hostile Universe v5, but it just chucked me out and a "Send error to Microsoft" thingy came up (i'm using XP home, it all ways comes up with weird messages.) It did this because the guy who made Hostile Universe added his own jump gates with a different look.

If anyone has any ideas about what one of the systems in my mod should look like or what should be in it, write to http://www.lancersreactor.com/t/forum/t ... ing&M=True

Thanks. Oh and someone tell me how to make links!!

Oh, hopefully not to late.

Don't include all the ships from Hostile Universe v5. Especially not the nomad ship the Shadow Strike.

Just a note, 'Cause otherwise Giskard will rip me to shreds!!!!!!

IMPORTANT
If you are running on Win95/98/ME, you need a patch from microsoft to be able to create the Dlls properly.
I have added the link to my webpage
It seems that the people having problems where indeed running WinME.

I knew the patch was available but i completly forgot

Er... hello??

I'm using XP Home not ME!!
