Ok to uncompress the INI files.

1. move bini to your desktop
2. open exlporer and go to the *.ini file you want to decompress
3. make sure you can see the explorer window and bini icon at the same time
4. drag the *.ini file (not the folder) over the bini icon and drop
5. shortly you will see the file *.ini.txt appear in the directory listing
6. rename *.ini to *.ini.bak (back up the orginial compressed file)
7. rename *.ini.txt to *.ini

As for 3d system editor ... I think its got the decompressor built in ... I may be confusing it with another tool but can't check my home pc right now.

TnX ChatNoir
This worked, so far so good. I have managed to do exactly as U stated and all went fine
I also Managed to Load System I wanted to work on, experiment on So that means we hit 2 birds with 1 stone in my book
Now all I need is some Detailed instruction on how to use the "**UTILITY** "3D SYSTEM EDITOR" New alpha released" maybe a few direct examples from some users, eg how should U change Planet size, or how to add things.......I'm used to the Game map and grid reference which show possitions of various things like stations and planets, so how could I figure out where is D3 is on the in game map for example? In other words, a damn manual
Tnx in advance

Hi everyone.
I have a problem whit the last version currently aviable : it seem the programm don't recognize that suns are objects ; it say (for the New-York system for example) : "Sun_01 " ist kein gültiger Komponentenname. I don't practice deutch but I think it significate this. Of course, I've decompressed the file and I tried with other systems, no result.
What am I doing wrong?

Ok again one important advice for everyone.
You hafe to look that the lines of the systemcode are clean, I mean if the error for example "Li01_12 " is not a valid name or so appears, you should take care that no space or comment is behind the codelines. If you get that error for ex. "Sun_Li01 ",then go to the line with the nickname of that object. If it is "nickname = Sun_Li01 " then change it into "nickname = Sun_Li01". Do the same if you get an invalid INTEGER (=non float number on pascal) just look that the lines are clean.

Sorry for my bad english

Happy System Editing "Master Windu"

.....the update looks really nice, but i have problems to create my own system. It will be easier if you don`t have to write all the things to the objects.

Can you make any shortcuts????

Sorry for my bad english , you know where i come from..

Sorry, I really do hate doing this...

BUMP!

The error you recieved is this in english:

"is no valid component name "

so apparently it can't find the suns anymore.

If I try to download the 3d editor you mentioned I get a page not available message. I would really like to try this 'cause I am making new systems and it would be a great help in positioning things. Please have it placed on the forum somewhere so I can get it.

Hey hey guys! just take it easy, it's not my fault that the FL repository got shut down. As you know this program is not a finished work it won't work properly.

You can get actual state here but I can't garantee that this will go much further but there are some things going on but more I'm not able to say.. :-)
