Ok, I downloaded your programm and I could start it, but when I wanted to load a system, nothing happened. Any idea windu?

Did you do what the readme said and convert the ini file to an uncompressed version? Grab the INI uncompressor:

- in windows I actually dragged and dropped the ini file into the uncompressor executable file and it came out with a ini.txt file - you need to rename it to .ini ( I didn't use dos to uncompress it so it may be different if you don't do the drag and drop option I used ) (ie remove the txt from the .ini.txt) then open that ini file when it asks you what system to open. I hope that helps.

Sorry steveo, but nothing happens, if I drag the

C:\Programme\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\DATA\UNIVERSE\SYSTEMS\BR01

into the ini uncompressor, nothing happens. I mean, if I press a key, the uncompressor closes. That was it? Ok, it´s 1.15am here and I´m very tired. What do I have exactly to do, after I moved the file into the uncompressor?

from your post it seems as though you dragged the folder over the bini.ini and not the file. you should drag the ini file over bini (i.e. DATA\UNIVERSE\SYSTEMS\LI01\Li01.ini not DATA\UNIVERSE\SYSTEMS\LI01)

Ohhh sorry, I wrote not the whole link.

I moved the

C:\Programme\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\DATA\UNIVERSE\SYSTEMS\BR01\br01.ini

file into the umcompressor. Now, what do I have to do? If I press ENTER, the window closes and that´s all.

Do I have to let the uncompressor open or what?

Once you drag the file over bini, it "should" have a dos prompt come up for a second or two then close. Then a txt file will pop-up in the folder bini is it.

First I have to say that I'm spending a lot of time at this project. So please be patient I'll soon release a new version I hope in the next couple of days.

Ok here is again a new alpha version of the 3D Visual System Editor I added a lot of new features.
Be aware that this tool is still full of bugs and may crash sometimes so just be patient and try it again of leave it.


Whats new:
-Edit the properties of an object in the valuelisteditor.
-Easy find objects by using the objectinspector.(very handy)
-Easy create new objects.
-Save solarsystems.



This will be the last release for now. I want to go through my code and implement new features and make it bugfree. So it'll take couple days or longer until I'll be back so please be patient. I think I'll release the first beta soon. I really hope you know how much time it costs to program that tool. Sorry but the README is not very detailed.

Hi, I wish to Edit- Create a System as a Addon for SP/MP. I am not a Programmer or have experience in these things. I Downloaded the "**UTILITY** "3D SYSTEM EDITOR" New alpha released", I tried inserting systems from game (LOAD SYSTEM) "\Freelancer\DATA\UNIVERSE\SYSTEMS" not even 1 SYSTEM loaded up - Why? Where did i go wrong? I can't even add or look at a system! I didn't see any form of explaination on HOW TO etc....So therefore I am not even Able to Edit, I Don't Understand what to put for example a New Planet, yeah righ I selected it added a New , but what about the Other Information which I must insert? Do I make it up or something? I like the Idea of this editor but for some one like myself with no experience in editing FL, I just personally find it so damned unclear and would really like to understand HOW to make it work.

Futher more I did read the following:

Load the uncompressed ini file into FL 3D Visual System Viewer.

So I DL this ini uncompressor, start it up , I drop a System inside and Nothing Happens. If some one is able to give me some DETAILED information on HOW TO GET THIS THING working. Cause without the uncompresser or whatever it is, without it working, I probably can't get the "**UTILITY** "3D SYSTEM EDITOR" New alpha released" to work. Like I said I have never tried to Edit FL and would like to waste my time on getting it to work rather than Just Wasting my time.
