Mission 10- Is Gamma 1 simply fated to be immobile road kill
Mission 10, the one where you have to go blow up huge satellite dish on a...satellite/big asteroid. In the second part of the mission, you jump to meet with a Nanny ship, but first you have to protect 2 Gamma ships from a Coalition hunting pack with really bad lines (Damn Alliance pigs! How dare you destroy our ships! It's not like we're in a war or something! You will pay for this as if we haven't killed a ton of civilians and POWs to conserve resources!).
Anyway.... the mission guide here says its possible to save both, but no matter what, "Gamma 1" is blown up within seconds of the ships jumping in (this is on Hard). Doesn't seem to matter which one is blown up either, it's always refered to as Gamma 1. The Coalition fighters jump in pretty much perfectly aligned with the Gamma, I can sit in front of either one and absorb a stream of shots with Spectral Shields, but the other one still gets blown up right quick.
So is it really actually possible to save both? Any references to you having done it in the debriefing?
