Troubles with SL

I've had SL almost since it first came out, but it ran moderatly slow on my old laptop so I didn't have as much fun with it as I could have. I recently bought a new computer, up to date on all the 3D graphics cards and the like, and so first thing I did was install and run SL. My problem is this: in mission 2, it keeps crashing on me, the game; I noticed that if I did something specific, such as attack a group of fighters that otherwise would escape, it would crash, so I decided not to attack them. however, during near the end of the mission, when the support arrives, it crashes again, and considering there is no way NOT to get that support, I'm pretty much out of luck.

So, does anyone know why it is doing this and if there is any possible way to fix it?

it sounds more like a grapahic glitch or your sound glitch.. does firing make you crash? or does heavy lighting makes crash.. what about heavy sound..

In SL, go to sound option, and turn off EAX. This fixes 90% of all SL crashes.

Have a nice day

I had the same problem.. turning off EAX fixed it for me as well.

Kinda disappointing being I have a Soundblaster card, you would think EAX would work well.. Microsquish at it again

Infinity is only moments away...
