new ship : milkshape probs

Hi,

I'm trying to make a new ship for freelancer
I make my model in milkshape
but when i try to export it milkshape froze...

every time I try to works on maximize windows, it froze too.

does someone know why ?

Do you have the cmp importer enabled in milkshape? I was having similar problems but after removing the importer I was fine.

make sure
-your first group is not a hp
-your hps are not textured
-your texture has a unique name
-your ship has a texture at all

I am also having a problem with the .cmp importer causing milkshape to crash....is there any fix to this?

I have this problem on my main development machine, its using an Athlon XP, and crashes with a divide by 0 error, or something like that.
Installed the exact same version of MS, and the exact same exporter dll on another computer (Regular Athlon), and it exported fine, no problems.
So if you have access to another computer, try that!

The importer can be temperamental sometimes. On my machine, sometimes it works when other times it doesn't.
