Does anyone know the method to convert a custom turret

I've tried but everytime i convert it, milkshape sticks all the groups into a single grouping preventing the cmp file from listing the base of the turret and the barrels separately. Please help.

Either that or a different exporter since milkshape doesn't seem to be able to provide 2 seperate groupings upon conversion.
