Id say the easiest way is using Sshan's 2D system editor and creator. There is a thread in utilities called 2G system editor that has a link.

Yes, the French Site really works. It is updated almost everyday. It is down at the time this was written due to another update! The File is only 656 kb and is really good! Congradulations to the Designer !

The only trouble with that 2D map editor is that it doesn't complete cover everything you can edit or create while writing your own ini files.

Plus. It's harder to know what's wrong when you get an error. If you know about ini's, you know where to look for a possible mistake.

But it's up to everyone to choose what he or she wants

I am working on a new Omicron Iota system, just I don't know how to place good coordinates for placing it on the map. Is it depended on direction of jump hole?

Putting in the coords manually can cuase a lot of problems. The program may crash, but best thing to do is assing the spot where you want the starting jumphole, then double click out and double click into the system it leads to. Once again, use your mouse to physically place the jumphole in the spot where you want it. If the program crashes, just keep trying it again until it takes. It can be tedious, but it's the best way.

I put the "fun" into "dysfunctional."
