quick question about server

I'm not sure if mods can change the server itself or not but I was just wondering if it's possible (or has already been done) to make the server beep or play some sort of sound when a player logs in. It would be helpful because if I'm doing work on my PC, I'll know when somebody logs in so I can say welcome or maybe login myself.

anybody?

I'd say it is possible. Some scripted program action. Just like you would call up a program "beep" in Basic language.
