Firebalancegrssk06b3

I installed firebalance but it conflicts with the slave1and awing pack when using the mod installer. I have also tried to install it using the data and the exe files but when I try to use the navigation map the game crashes out to desktop. Something is not right. Can anyone help?

Did you try deleting your Autosaves? That is the main reason why the FLMM has that feature. When installing A-Wing or Slave 01, you can always copy the A-wing/Slave01 folder into the SHIPS folder in the mod folder.

Yes I did all that but I think that the firebalancegrssk063 is the problem because everytime that I play I get kicked out to desktop. There is something in there that is doing it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, cleaned out the folder and only played with the firebalance but it does the exact same thing.

From what I understand, only rebalanced mod 0.6b3 is activated. The Slave1/AWing pack is also installed but not activated, just copy the Slave1 and AWing folders to where Freelancer keeps it ships, \\freelancer\data\ships\.

A few ppl have been posting about minimise-crashes. Was fine in the previous builds, up to 0.6b2. It's only since the merge with grssk that I've seen it too. I deactivate previous builds with FLMM and manually delete saves (all the *.FL files) before installing a new build and activating it.

Might be a typo somewhere that's doing it. Grssk added/changed some jumpholes if I'm not mistaken. I'll look, but not really familiar with the files. Haven't played with the grssk mod before; any regular users know if it was already finalised and bug-free before the merge with the rebalance mod?

Ok. I will try it that way with a previous build of rebalance. Will keep you posted on the results.

I have found that all the firebalance mods conflict with the ship mods because of the ships that are hardwired into the firebalance mods. I have tried all of the ways to get certain ship mods to work with the firebalance mods. This can be checked by activating the firebalance mod in the mod manager and seeing how many of the mods turn red. The two ships that I have noticed is the xwing on planet manhatten and the tie on planet pittsburgh. If those two are present then the other ship mods will not work no matter what you do. What would be nice is to have the firebalance mod without any type of ships in it that way you could add any ship that you want. You can check this out by activating any of the ship mods that refer to being sold on planet manhatten or planet pittsburgh.

Lo ppl

Im not sure im doing this right but wot ive done is d/l an install opensp v1.1, which works coz i can start single player and not have 2 go thru missions.

Then i d/l and install FLMM, no probs so far

Then i d/l flrebalancegrssk06b3.zip.flmod and place in appropriate folder in FLMM.

Right, now when i activate firebalance then run Freelancer i start and fly 2 BS missouri where mod allows u 2 buy a freighter(Rhino), where as u couldnt in normal FL. But when i get there no Rhino so i guess it aint working

So can any help me get this thing working or am i doing something wrong?

Deactivate everything except for the mod manager. Download the new firebalance mod. See if there is a newer opensp than the one you have. I think that you also have to install the no story sp also. Double - click the files so that they are installed to the mod manager and then install them.

The new firebalance mod does not have the xwing and tie fighter. I have already checked and the mod does not conflict with the other mods. I have started a new game and so far everything seems to be okay. Will keep you posted.

...the X-Wing and the TIE have been removed from 0.6b3? Huh? I thought he added some more ships... not removed those 2.

Edit: I see the other dl pack has been updated too. It's Slave1/AWing/BWing now. If those two wings are in the XWing and TIE should be too. Can't dl to check, isp stability problems :/ Later.

Edit2: Ok, wait. There's a "Slayn & Korpil B-Wing" pack, a new "Slave1/AWing/BWing" pack, and the old "Slave1/AWing" pack. Which of these 3 do we use in addition to the Rebalance mod?

If you have downloaded the new Freelancer Rebalance and Grrsk Mod v 0.6b4 you can use the slave1/awing/bwing ship pack. I already checked them out and they seem good to use. The only other thing is that all the upgrades are not in the new rebalance mod. I am going to download the Ion thruster v1.0 mod and see how that is. It works also. You just have to make a decision on which one to use. I am using the normal one. Just install the folder to the mod folder in the mod manager and activate.

Download and install the latest Freelancer Mod Manager. If you have the latest firebalance and the slave1/awing/bwing ship mod. This is what you have to do.
Click twice on the firebalance to install. Do the same thing with the ship mod.
Go into the mod manager and activate them from there. You will start out with the same starflier in the game. The Slave1 ship is on Pittsburgh and cost 100,000. The Awing is on California Minor and costs the same. The Bwing is on Crete and it will probably cost the same as the other two.
