Yet Another Test Server

212.159.124.44 - "UK Test Server". Does exactly what it says on the tin

Character stability not assured (given test status). Kinda interested in seeing how it'll survive - running on a slightly archaic (but once a beast of a server in it's day) quad (yep, 4!) PPro 200 (1mb cache each). It looks like Freelancer actually makes use of multi processors so it might just handle a few players

Please drop by if you've got a spare minute and see just how laggy it gets

If its up then your firewall and or router is blocking the ports it requires.

Doh - feared that may be the case

Many, many thanks for the attempt - will sort it out tomorrow morning, really too sleepy to face cisco IOS tonight

I was on it this morning until it either crashed or you closed it. By the console msgs your using IFSO so remember to set it to check for it, so it can relaunch it after a crash or use FLadmin aswell.

Huge thanks gentlemen, it did indeed topple but I'd forgotten to set the (compaq) bios to allow booting without keyboard plugged in, so it sat waiting with the familiar and ironic "Keyboard not present, press F1 to continue" message!

It's back up and running now, huge thanks Pinger for the advice
