its so dark - how do you brighten it up?

sometimes i have real trouble seeing what is happening during spaceflight/battles- is there anyway to make it brigher?

my monitor is up to the brightest setting- do i have to adjust the videocard settings for this or is there an ingame tweak i can do?

There is a gamma setting in the video setting.

If your running the demo and installed the hack that allows you to fly various ships (not the 5 you can find in Liberty) then uninstall the demo and reinstall it.
If this is the retail version, check you vid card color scheme also.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the darkness at Tan Hauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time like tears in rain. Time to die.

You can also use a handy program I use on all games (because it allows for v/c overclocking using hot keys as well as gamma correction/colour correction).

It is called powerstrip
