Problems with Voodoo 5500 and FL

I cannot get FL to run with Voodoo 5500. I see the intro movie and then the machine just hangs at the "FreeLancer" screen even before the game menus appear.

Sysem Specs:
Win98 SE
DirectX 9.0
AMD 1.33 GHz
Voodoo 5500 (last 3DFX beta driver)
512 DDR RAM
SoundBlaster Audigy
TM Cougar

Looking for some help to get FL running,

Check the Readme file on the CD to see if your card is supported. Kinda doubt it though, since it isnt Direct X 9 Compatible.

You have to consider a new card.
I went from a V5 that i liked very much to a GF4 ti4200,
and i have not regret the upgrade yet (½ year).
Much faster and better looking. And it works with all games.
