Using the Base Station Management Tool I go under Security and click on Port Forwarding, and it shows Application-Triggered Port Forwarding and Persistent Port Forwarding. Do I want Persistant or Application-Triggered?

This is what I would try for your Router:
Security, Port Forwarding, Persistant.
Description, up to you, but since it's your dad's router, I'd put Freelancer in there.
Inbound Port, use 2302-2400 UDP
Private IP, use the Internal IP of the machine FLSERVER is running on, like 192.168.1.101 or whatever it is.
Private Port, dont think you need this. But if it doesnt work after you try it, may want to try 2302 here as a last resort.
Click Apply and give it a test.

Ok, NOTHING WORKS! I tried opening those ports AND allowing Ping requests, and it STILL won't work! I'd give up on it if it weren't for the small fact that the game AND the router are MICRO-FREAKING-SOFT PRODUCTS!!!!
