Need something a little more specific than that, what sort of GF2? MX or regular? Your proccessor is fine but even a regular GF2 isn't top of the line anymore, and an MX is unacceptable...

Why should be a MX 800 unacceptable?
need 16 RAM, 32 RAM ok, and ive got 64 so what do you want?
And maybe, maybe maybe ill get a GF FX!

Not true at all. I have a 650MHz Ahtlon and a GF2MX* and it runs the demo perfectly at 1024X768X32 with the detail slider at max. The only slowdown I get is when entering a trade lane, and even then it's hardly noticible. So even if the original poster does have an MX, he should be just fine.

Well, that may not be entirely true, since his P4 is a 1.5gig, and therefore a Wilamitte core, my Athlon 650 is prolly faster. ;-)

Besides, he says that it's got 64MB of ram, and while a few MXs did come with 64MB, the majority by far have 32MB, so it's likely that he has either a GTS or Ultra, and is certianly alright.

*I have the card OCed to 180/180, mind you, but that shouldn't be enough to make a difference between smooth and not smooth, just a few FPS max.

I surely have a 64 RAM GF2 MX! I am really sure
I think like you c^2

I think you are all OK to run FL at 1024x768x32, but maybe putting on Fullscreen AntiAliasing might be a bit too much for the systems...

Actually, asking doesn't really help you much. Everyone's PC is different, and (more importantly) everyones EYES are different. You may not be bothered by a lower framerate than someone else, and therefore turning up details might be advisable, whereas someone else might prefer a more crisp framerate. Really, there's no way to tell decisively what kind of setting you'll want to use. People can help you w/ estimates, like "Will this game run on my PC", but that much is obvious... you got plenty to "run" the game. As for the details, that's largely a matter of opinion.... you just have to play w/ the settings, and figure out what works best, and what is more important too you. For instance, I don't particularly care about shadows in games, but I dig anti-aliasing and super-crisp framerate. Thus, I may turn off shadows and stick w/ only 2X anti-aliasing for sweet framerate... personally, the cost of 4X AA to framerate isn't worth the price to me, but then some people just can't stand those blasted jaggies! That's what I loved about No One Lives Forever 2... all kinds of video tweakability there! The only thing I turned off was "environment bump mapping", cause that (while really cool) was a pretty steep framerate cost for what it gave me. As for resolution, you might even find a lower res preferable in some games from a gameplay standpoint. Like, I imagine the HUD items in FL get smaller as you increase the resolution, so it might be easier to interface w/ a lower than maximum resolution... something to consider.

Deviant is right, by saying a GF2 MX is unacceptable I meant it is for me, I can't stand anything below 45 FPS, and an MX certainly will not get you even that in today's games.

I don't believe that's what happens. AFAIK they'll increase to.

Download the demo.

Give each resolution a try and see which one works best for your tastes.

Some people prefer FPS over quality some the other way.

Check Microsoft's minimum/recommended requirements and see if you meet them.

That's the easiest way to figure it out.

I played te demo.GREAT GAME!!!!!!!
...with hghest detail level and resolution; 2 little lags (dont know why) in 2 hour playing!!
The game is really great. The best thing is when they say: Welcome, here is battleship Missouri, you are now proceed to docking in.....

Couldn't agree more.

Judging by the previews and my very limited experience with the demo, the dev crew has managed to optimize the graphics engine very well. I only wish Unreal 2's engine was this good

Hopefully the final version runs as well as the demo.

I don't think I've seen such good performance/graphic quality/stability like this in a long time.
