Demo crashing every 20-30 minutes

Freelancer Demo seems very unstable... I don't know if it's my machine or not, I mean, I have crashes but not THIS often... and not in XP Pro.

Baically... you'll be blasting away or just leaving a base.. and suddenly I see the desktop... all the music is playing... but I can't get back in.

Then the ole' Freelancer encountered a serious error and had to be shutdown... blah blah blah... Send report blah blah.

MS only response is, we're not sure what it is, it was caused by a driver... etc...

I have am AMD-2100+, 512Mb, SB Live!, Ti 4600, Direct X 9, Latest Detonator drivers... about to get latest Live drivers if they exist.....

HELP!... why does it crash SO MUCH!? :

I dont know why it crashes, but trying other Detonator drivers might work.

Yeah this happens the the PR Beta that was sent out in the contest too. its rather annoying cause most of the time when it happens I lose the multiplayer character(if i try to load it again then it dumps to desktop again) rather annoying. (happened right after I got over half a million credits on one cargo run, that really pissed me off) it happens with xp and Me. I installed the newest drivers for my radeon 64 ddr vivo but that caused freelancer to have a fatal error before it reaches the menu screen. so i don't really want to do that again,I have gotten good at starting new charachters ($10000 in less than 3 min, repeatable, lets you get going fast) anyway is there a fix for this? oh yeah i got AMD 1.2 with 768 MB pc 133 RAM.
