When I try to launch Freelancer either with the Mod Manager or without it I get the following error report.

~f1d055.tmp has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

I've uninstalled the game and mod manager, scanned for any associated files (and deleted them, if found) rebooted the computer, reinstalled the game and I get the same message. Several times! ... Trukker is being kept out of space and is getting cabin fever that only a space flight will cure.
Any help would be great.
