URGENT : Text coding error..

Hello all,

I am a great fan of Freelancer and i regularly download mods from LancersReactor. However, I have run into a small little problem.

The game starts fine and everything, and every cutscene works in the game.

BUT

Whenever i go to buy a ship or a weapon, in the place where it should say all the info, there is a whole load of coding. I cannot remember the exact words, but it had things like <SPAN/> and <CLASS> and some other stuff that i think is the coding of the game!

I cannot see the info that the boxes are supposed to show, only the coding. I have tried re-installing Freelancer at least 5 times and i have uninstalled FL ModManager, but it still shows the coding.

Does anyone have any idea as to how this can be solved. I URGENTLY need some help.

make sure when you uninstall you delete the folder before reinstalling, some files from mods are still in there. But there is no way this should be happening unless you are trying to run a mod, then it might be helpful if you posted the name.

I am going to cry now :'(

I deleted the "Freelancer" folder in "Microsoft Games", and then i tried to re-installed it again.

It re-installed fine but the coding is still there. Also i sqw it said something like ?xml in the info area.

Do you think that the CD has become faulty?

Check your video drivers and make sure they are up to date.

Does anyone have any other idea as to what to do?

My drivers are up to date, I used to get the "your graphics card is not compatible" thing, but i solved that. All 2 fonts are in my FL FONTS folder and my WINDOWS font folder. But, I can still see the coding.

It is getting really annoying now.

Does anyone have any idea what to do?
