CD case

The place to ask for technical help with running the demo or the full game...

CD case

I lost the CD case and I was wondering if there is any way whatsoever to acquire a new key code.

You don't need the case, just the CD. It has the code.

But I uninstalled it and now I'nm installing it again and it asks me for a key code on the case which I don't have

Did you reformat your hard drive? Ususally, the code is left on the computer in the registry even when you uninstall it. Other wise, you will need to purchase another copy. They can be had as low as $5 on Ebay and on Amazone.com

There's no code on the disk jacket. The only codes that come up are after you install "for support purposes", and the multiplayer ID code.

Thats the weirdest stuff I heard in a long time. There's no serial, not on the case, not in the manual. The only serial, which is for multiplayer only, is generated by Freelancer itself as soon as you try to access the multiplayer functions, but only if they're not present in the registry of your system anymore. And that only happens when you reinstall the whole Windows operating system.

However it may happen on some systems that the process of automatically generating a new multiplayer account id doesn't work. This is something that should be fixed by installing the official Freelancer Patch, which can be found here.
