Can''t connect to global servers!

Hi all, today is sunday the 12th. I have tried to connect to the global server list almost the whole day without any success.

Is there a major problem?

I have changed the nVidia Forceware drivers for the Battlefield 2 Demo to the latest version. It started afterwards so I uninstalled them and went back to the one I had before. It is still not working.

Any hints are much appreciated.

Thx a lot in advance,

Homer S.

The Global Server occasionally goes down. If you know the IP address of the server you wish to play on, you can add it manually to your list. Create a Freelancer shortcut, and alter its Target field to read thus:

In that particular image the IP address is for the Jolt.co.uk server on port 2302, and you simply change that to your server's IP.

Thx for the feedback...

Could someone do me a favor please. jump on the global list and get the IP from a Server called ---===suden===--- or something like this. It must be a TNG 2.7 Server.

My global list is still not working and I would like to try to join by direct IP. If this is not working too there probably must be something about my PC.

I am not sure about the name... the server was always on top off my list and i just double klicked it without spending ages checkin the name.

Thx a lot,

Homer S.

I hope people are still reading this

I used to have this problem because my internet was going through a IPX connection in a LAN.
First disable any firewalls or proxys that you may have running on YOUR computer.
Try it, If it dosent succeed then (this is what i did every time).
Dissconnect your Lan Cable from your ethernet card, wait 3 seconds and then reconnect it.
After 5 seconds or so on the top left corner it should say . Internet connection avalable . connect to server list. and UREKA they should all pop up.

I wouldent know the answer if you are running though a direct connection to the internet because i never had that problem before.

remember MOST IMPORTANTLY its about the FIREWALLS! disable em aLL! that encludes norton internet security, firewall, proxy, antivirus - email protections (i recommend to try disableing auto-protect) and then give it a go.
