Server Problems

Some time ago me and some of my friends where playing FL, on our private server that i was running.... we agreed to something, so i left and edited my char a bit, and came back.... then my server crashed....
now nobody can enter my server, not even i.... it displays the ping as ???? and when i try to connect, it says "This operation is taking longer than expected..." then after a few minutes, it says that the server is having connection problems and all that whatnot..... ive tried just about everything to fix this problem, including turning off my firewalls... thing is it was working fine until is crashed that one day.... now it doesnt work at all i was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this problem.....

i am not sure if it will work but reinstall freelancer and delete your character, also your account number.

It really depends on what you put on your ship.

if it still dosent work after a reinstall, uninstall it and delete the directories 'c:\program files\microsoft games\freelancer' and 'c:\documents and settings\%username%\my documents\my games\freelancer'

Where '%username% is your username (nifty little trick that, put it into the address bar and it comes up)

Thend delete the freelancer root registry key in HKCU>Software>microsoft>microsoft games and HKLM>software>microsoft>microsoft games

That will erase all the file freelancer will have put on. reinstall it, and try it again. if it continues to crash, the problem is not freelancer-related
