Issue with 6600 GT

I just upgraded to a new computer with a 6600 GT, and so far the only game I've had issues running has been Freelancer.

Description: 6600GT AGP, latest WHQL drivers (66.93)

I'm seeing lag when switching between overlays and menus, plus lag interacting with things like trade lanes. Also, there's an annoying delay when new ships come within visible range. There's also random delays during combat as ships / stations move in/out of my range of view.

I believe I'm experiencing what seems to be a lot like the "Text Lag" that Radeon users got way back when it was originally released. The difference is, I've had no luck by lowering my hardware accleration setting a couple notches.

What I find really strange is that I never experienced this lag on my 8500 (the card I was using before), even though I bought the game the first week it was out, and other people complained about "ATI text lag".

So, anyone got any suggestions? This card is four times as powerful as my 8500, but I'd swear it was an S3 Virge looking at how it handles Freelancer. Am I going to have to shelve this old favorite?

I have the same problem... I have a Leadtek 6600GT card.

My system spec:
AMD XP 3000+
1 GB ram
6600GT AGP with 66.97 Zer0point drivers.
Epox nForce2 (5.10 drivers)
WinXP SP2
DX9.0c

Yep same to me Xp64 3200 & MSI 6600GT.

The Intro works fine but as soon as the main menu screen starts, the graphic turns "psychedelic"

sounds like we need to report something to nVidia...
