Joystick

i have a sidewinder joystick. but for some reason freelancer is not detecting it, and i read something about joysticks working for this game on the official website.

i dont think there is joystick suport for this game, they mention on the web site that you can use your mouse so no need for a joy stick . but a joystick probably wouldnt be the best any way. also there is no roll feture but i have heard there is something you can get on this site that will add a roll feture. and if you want to use a joystick you can get something like keytojoy or something that will alow your joy stick to use hot keys from your keyboard if you know what i mean.

Seriously - time to forget about that Joystick, and use the FAR superior mouse control instead. Its simple, fast, and alot better. After all - you use a mouse instead of a joystick to navigate programs - so you know how easy and effective they are...........

I've always been partial to joysticks for flight controls. Then again, having multiple joysticks and 3D-Twist helps.

Freelancer, on the other hand, doesn't need it. And even if it did need it, there isn't any way to grant it (unless you have some source code you want to share.)

The control system for freelancer does rock as it is, I have a saitek cyoborg evo and I normally play flight games with it,

but freelancers flight controls are gr8 as they are, unplug ur joystick, save it for another day and start freelancing.
