Docking troubles

The place to ask for technical help with running the demo or the full game...

Docking troubles

I'm running FLMM v1.3 with only two active mods: the "Hovis hack" by Entropy, and Mancer's Star Wars ship pack v2 (jointly worked on by Crabtree and Mancer).

My trouble is with Station Glorious: quite simply, I can't dock with it. With the exception of the Trenton and Kensington Shipping Platforms, every other base I have encountered thus far I have been able to dock at with no trouble. (I have to complement Crabtree and Mancer on an excellent format for docking ... the ship moves to a distance from the installation selected, turns to face it, and "docks" with the station from a distance.)

Yet when I select Station Glorious (after "winning" the race against Dexter Hovis) and issue the dock command, I hear an audio message saying "dock denied."

Can anyone shed any light onto this problem? (I recall having it once before with a large ship, but I can't remember the circumstances.) Is there a mod out there that might fix this issue?

Are you having trouble fitting the ship into the station or does it refuse to allow you to even start docking? If the ship is simply too big then I suggest using the Ghost Docking mod that came with FLMM. If it won't go to the docking cutscene, Then I don't know. Check to make sure your rep with the faction owning the base is good enough to let you dock.

Can't dock in what ship? How big is it? And i mean in comparison to normal ships sizes?

Ahh ... I wasn't able to use the "Ghost Docking mod" as FLMM v1.3 declares a definite program conflict with Mancer's/Crabtree's Star Wars ship pack (the mod that's giving me all the grief).

As far as reputation is concerned, docking at Station Glorious is part of the FL campaign - if you want to find Prof. Quintaine - so I was similarly under the impression that my reputation didn't matter. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)

In response to the question of size, the vessel in question is a Nebulon-B frigate from the 'Star Wars' universe. For a comparison of size with a 'native' FL universe vessel, it's as long as a large transport, and is about 2/3 the height of Station Glorious.
