Can''t Play on the Internet, CONNECTING for hours! help plea

Sup people...For some reason I cant play on multiplayer internet games... it says Connecting to global server and it say that for hours . i tried waiting n other stuf (re installing FL and DX9 ) but nothing works! (I DONT HAVE THE 1.1 patch but i tried it with it already and it was full of bugs and crappy **** that made the actual game freeze and missions would not occur on time)

iF n e 1 CAN HELP I WOULD BE VERY GREATFULL!

u using firewall? uf u do u need to configure ports 2300-2400 to be opened. im not sure about this but firewalls tend to make connection almost impossible.
