Freelancer will not load

Hello

I am hoping that someone out there can help me.

I tried to install FL recently after a long absence and now it wont load beyond the FL splashscreen (throws me back to the desktop). I have tried everything on the microsoft website and some of the things found here.

I have dx9b, windows 2000 pro, geforce fx 5700 w 256mb, 3/4GB 133mhz ddr ram, soundblaster live player.

If you can help or need any more info then please post.

I have the same problem...recently I got the update for my graphics card. Now Freelancer will not seem to work.

Before the update my computer could easily run Freelancer; so instead of system specs...I'll just give the graphics card:

Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller. Currently using 1024 by 786 in true colour (60Hz refresh rate)
