Router

Im having problems hosting a server. It says its up and i can join it but others cannot, im assuming its my router, before I got the router I had just one comp on DSL and I used to run a StarFleetCommand3 server. Does anyone have any idea or knows what i can do to host a Free Lancer Srever that others can join? If so please let me know. My email is [email protected] thanks, peace.

Welcome to TLR . First question (assuming you return), do you have any VLANs running on the router?

VLANs ? Im not sure what that means. I have a hub and 2 computers connected to it on my router. But the router firewall is off and the LAN firewall is off. I contacted Centrytell and they said with both fire walls off all ports should be open and there should be no problem, but there is. I can play just fine but when I host no one can connect.

Hmm, can you "ping" the other two computers, or access them though Windows Network Neighbourhood? Which version of Windows are you, and the other computers running? What are the IP addresses and subnet masks of the three machines? I need more information to be of any further assistance. If you don't know where to find the IPs and subnet masks, simply enter "command" or "cmd" into the "Run" option, and then type "ipconfig /all" when you get to the command line.
