Voices/sound don''t keep up with game

The sound/voices don't seem to keep up with the game. Its really annoying watching everything like an old Japanese movie.

I've restarted my comp, and it still doesn't work. Any sugestions?

How much memory do you have? What size vid card? Low graphics handling can slug the video part so they are out of sinke. Try changing the video options to lower detail and retry playing to see if it helps.

Try getting a better sound card if that doesn't work, it is most likely related to the Card

How do I check to see what cards I have?

Er... control panel -> system -> device manager.

My problem is the other way 'round. The voices tend to run ahead of the graphics in the cutscenes. I'm pretty sure it's cause of my crap graphics card (GeForce2 MX).

Alright, I was content to let Final handle this, but I guess I'll have to step in . As Final suggested, the problem is most likely due to the sound and video going out of sync due to bottlenecks. Most commonly, a slow graphics card will cause this problem, but it can also be caused by a number of factors. In order to increase performance and eliminate as many bugs a possible, I suggest the following; download and install the latest drivers for your graphics card, make sure that you have the latest version of DirectX (9.0b), and defrag your hard disk. If the problem still evidences itself then, as Final suggested, try turning down all of the detail levels in FL, and/or play at a lower resolution so that your graphics card doesn't have to work as hard.

There! Try the above, and let me know how it goes.

Nah, I'm pretty sure I need a major overhaul (p3/933 here). I've seen the cutscenes play smoothly on a better spec machine, so I'm not too concerned about the crap performance on my current computer. Doesn't lag out during flying, all that matters to me.

Truc - Mmm, the game isn't that CPU intensive (compared to other modern games), but an upgrade is always a good idea; provided that you can afford it!

I think I'll try the soundfix before I do anything else.

It kinda helped with everything else, but as soon as I get to the first part with Lonnigan, it all gets WAY outta sync. >
