moving server help needed

yeah,,, the server is moving, as this has been done by others ok, i need your help, the new server was tested when it came round here and worked fine for an hour untill we transfered it back to the original server while the new host gets train home,

i squirted all the player files over to him without a prob, we got fladmin 1.29 working through his router all fine, i can see him on global, but am unable to connect, there are NO software firewalls installed at all, (including the inbuilt one) he`s running on xp home, any help to get this move completed would be apreciated

plus its still showing as running from my ip addy, which is strange, as its been switched off for the first time in nearly a year

infact, its not running at either his or mine, but still shows on global... man putes can realy suck sometimes

How exactly is the server connected to the internet? ADSL? Cable? Also, what is the IP Address that ther server has currently?

its a cable connection, global has now droped it, but it did take 2 1/2 hours, just waiting for the new host to return now, hopefully it should be fine now

cheers for the offer dude, but the move worked, and ** uk server ** is now back in buisness, as this may be my last post under this name, i just wanna say a big thanx to TLR for all the support, as well as Pinger for the many answers he has, Fikk for fladmin. and the mighty Joe Boomz for flso, without which i would have closed a looong time ago.. and cryo for flstat, all the players that have come and gone, and bladechaser for taking over the game... cheers to you all. but keep an eye on the website as freelancer is still under my banner, and i`ll be hosting other games soon... TTFN

thanks Git, I post if I think I can add something or corrrect something. Habit I picked up from UT forums/IRC as too many people post/type just to spam.

So I make what I believe are usefull posts, if I'm wrong ok in not don't flame me for being right, /me thinks of the jolt forums and the said jolt FL admins.
