Freelancer and ATI Radeon cards

Has anyone run into problems using FL with a Radeon card? I put in a ATI Radeon 9600 Pro and reinstalled FL and now it crashes after the opening movies and splashscreen.

I got DirectX 9.0b, my latest drivers, newest WMA 7 (I think) codecs, and newest version of widows media player, like the MS support site said to, but no luck.

Any help/commiseration is appreciated.

There are any number of reasons that is could be crashing. Firstly, try disabling "AGP Fast Write", as it causes problems on some systems. If you don't know how to do this, see the "System Freezes" thread. Also, Are you overclocking anything? CPU? RAM? Graphics card? Because it could theoretically be a heat-related issue.
