Can I play multiplayer?

The place to ask for technical help with running the demo or the full game...

Can I play multiplayer?

I have an ISDN connection which connects to the internet on demand. However, every 45 minutes or so, it disconnects, waits 2-15 seconds then reconnects.

Bearing this in mind, is it possible to play multiplayer over the internet for more than 45 minutes, or am I condemned to play single player until BT upgrades broadband to accomodate the Middle Of Nowhere?

your isdn shouldnt disconnect like that but why not just reconnect and play on

As long as the connection itself is still connected, not busy, and not in use, you're good to go.

So basically, the period of 2-15 seconds when the computer is not connected will not end the session?

BTW, the ISDN reconnects itself (hence 2-15s buffer period) as I mentioned above

I did try multiplayer a while ago, but was disconnected from the server. I didn't bother after that, assuming that the connection loss was the problem.

Why does it disconnect?

it will disconnect you from the server when it cuts out but just reconnect and pick up where you left off
no major problem in doing that
