Black, continuous screen at startup

Hi. Yesterday, I installed FL and it ran perfectly for like 2 hours. Then I went somewhere else and turned my computer off. When I tried to play again, it goes to a black screen, where nothing responds, and the hard disk seems to read like a millisec periodically. I tried reinstalling, uninstalling and reinst and downloading the latest video drivers.
I have a P4, 512 DDR RAM, and V7100Pro Asus Geforce 2 mx-400 video card, with 64 DDR Ram.
What do I do? Look for DX9b or something?

ya mon make sure you have all the updated drivers for ur card and dx n stuff. dunno if that helps.

i would suggest trying DX9b first...then try ur drivers.

Wow that sounds familiar... I have the same problem.. But I can't seem to find the post I had in this forum as of yesterday.... It's a conspiracy!!!
