Screen Flicker/Interference

I got Freelancer last Spring and it worked fine and I shelved it for a while.

Today, when I went to play it, I experienced terrible interference and screen flicker at the main screen.

The only thing that has changed in my computer configuration is the addition of Norton Antivirus. I'm thinking this may be the problem, but I have no idea how to remedy it.

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Well, it shouldn't interfere with it: I've got norton running while playing. I suggest you look around a bit on the norton support site for information.
If you can't find anything, mail them
And untill then, disconnect your pc from the internet and shut down norton while playing (if you're afraid of virus attacks or whatever).
