HELP my sound is lost and music too please HELP

hi ive got the problem that yesterday i installed freelancer with TNG 1.60 and everything worked fine i played for a few hours then quit, on the next day I wanted to play again but i got NO sound for the buttons and the like BUT i got sound for the engines and i got music but no speech . then i tried the method with the sound fix that is mentioned on top of this forum, now i even dont have music AND sound anymore =( i tried rebooting, reinstalling, without TNG, with TNG, everything didnt help =((( I searched for people with similar problems here on the forums but every thread got either not even an answr or not a solution so please help me what can i do i want to play again with sound and music =(

Try upgrading your sound drivers.

If you have Win XP go into the control panel, then to sound and audio devices, click the second advanced button (closest to bottom), make sure your settings are not that of a 5.1 or 7.1 system. Maximum of Quadraphonic.

Also try reading the readme that came with it.
