NEW Freelancer Dilema!

Right I'm getting a bit sick of all this, heres how it stands.
I purchased Freelancer when it was first released in the UK, everything was all fine and dandy until I had to reset my hard-drive. I did this, and when trying to reinstall FL it wouldn't get past 2% and persisted to complain about a file already being in use. Tried to copy my orginal disc using CloneCD and Nero etc but to no avail. So Yesterday I decided to buy the game again, and guess what....IT DOESN'T WORK!

Installation was fine, restarted windows as it instructed me to, watched the opening cut-scene but when the screen that says 'FREELANCER' (just before the main menu opens) the stupid thing sends me back to windows and closes FL completely. Just tried to get it to work for the 6th time today and it still doesn't work.

Anybody got any ideas?

Vio

You have to Reinstall your Windows OP...(98/2000/xp)
Then it will work.

I believe what he means is your OS, Operating System

"In space, no one can hear you yell YEHAW - Only your coworkers frowning at you."

Choose wisely
* Uninstall driver, reinstall drivers with WHQL (not Beta driver)
* Reinstall to Direct X 9b

or
fix some corrupt winfiles by this command in Run dialog box (windows XP)

sfc /scannow

If not
* Re-installing your Windows
* Update your ServicePack
