cant connect to global server

hello, has anyone had this problem before?
I am having a problem getting freelancer to connect to the global server, my internet is fine,the single player game is fine, but when i go to mutiplayer, it never brings back a server list.
my system is as follows:
AMD ATHLON 1800+(1.53)
WINDOWS XP PRO SP1
768MB CRUCIAL 2100 DDR
MSI GEFORCE4 TI 4200 128
DSL MODEM CONNECTED THRU A LINKSYS 4 PORT ROUTER
..i also have a 2nd comp working just fine , the networking files are identical, that system is a AMD 800 RUNNING WINXP PRO, 768MBD PC133,GEFORCE3 TI500 64 MBDDR (NO PROBLEMS RUNNING THIS GAME, OR CONNECTING)

Do you have a personal FW on your computer?
If so, it probably blocks out the communication. Try set up a rule for Freelancer trafic.

Is there any way to search computer for any active firewalls? Maybe that's my problem.
