Problem with GeForce 4

I bought FreeLancer the first day it came out and I installed it and it worked beautifully, I lent it to my friend to show him what a good game it was when he gave me it back I tried to load the game on my computer and it said that I was running a graphics card with no 3D accelerator, considering I hadn't changed anything since I'd lent him it, I tried everything to get it to work but nothing has been successful.

I am running Windows XP, with a GeForce 4 MX 440 with 3.0.8.2 drivers and DirectX 9.0

i don't know how to help you. try to set your computer back to all its original settings manually, but first, most importantly, set your hardware acceleration as high as it will go. it couldn't be a problem with xp, or direct x 9.0, i have the same stuff on my comp and its a laptop and it works fine. try updating your driver and see what happens

i have updated the drivers to the latest but it still doesnt work, also the acceleration is at full.

try lowering the antialising to application controlled, if it is set to any thing else the game slows down

never change the antialising from application controlled, the application will, or should do whats needed. if you change it you should not put it very high, depending on your system.
