Freelancer Slower with Geforce 4

When I first installed Freelancer, I had a Geforce 2 with 41.09 drivers installed on a Windows 2000 system. When I installed a Geforce 4 with 44.03 drivers, I noticed a slight performance drop.

Well what Geforce2 did you have?
What geforce4 do you have?

If your geforce2 was not an MX card, and your Geforce4 is, then that is quite right. The geforce4 mx is really ony a souped up geforce2. However, if your geforce4 is a Ti card, Then you have a problem.

I had a Geforce 2 MX 400, and now a Geforce 4 MX 440 with twice the RAM (64 megabytes). The performance drop is very minor, so I don't consider it a problem that detracts from the game. It's just a curiosity.

Hmm, well upgrading from MX to MX you should notice an increase.

i have geforce 4 40 go and when i put the antialising up all the way the preformance drops. check your antialising settings, if they are not set to application control then i don't know what your problem is. set it to application control and see what happens
