Please help me

I am about to go insane here and have posted this of a similar question mutiple times in various places and no one can help me.

Ok, so heres the senario; I played freelancer and got quite a way through it. For some reason when I now play it there are only 2 saved game files I can choose from but when I look in C:\...My Games\Freelancer\Accts\SinglePlayer there are 68 files. I dont know what to do. I just want my games files playable.

I have re-installed, un-installed and then installed again, copied the folder and pasted, re-booted, everything. I downloaded the game file editor to get one of them recognized games about where I was but that didnt work and I kept getting errors.

Its only illegal if you get caught

Have you tried to change the names of the Savefiles? looks like that they are something like a check sum, because they are not in any order. my save files names:
Save14ae Save68d4 Save0dfe Save660f Save0afb Save5139 Save50ab
make a backup of your original savegames and try to change the numbers of those that are not working.

It is the best way I can mention, maybe I am totally wrong, but the non linear numbers after the savegames are suspicious to me.

Those numbers, I believe are encrypted hex code. I have not messed with SP since beating the snot out of it (without cheats)

It's the same as the filenames in MP...They are encrypted hex codes...I THINK having to do with the time they were created.

Those files may not be able to be recovered.

Well if i cant recover them, then how did i lose them?
