Freelancer.ini problem?

ok, i was trying to install a few mods, and when i finished installing one mannualy. i would have used flmm but the mod was not compatable, so i messed up somehow, and now, whenever i try and start the game i get an error. it reads.

E:\fl\scratch\source\client\config.cpp(383) : *** ERROR:
Unable to read freelancer config file (freelancer.ini)

by the way, i lost my cd so i am using a cd crack, could that be the problem??
please help me

See if you have freelancer.ini in your freelancers main directory in EXE folder. By the way what mod did you install.

i put on the open sp mod, and i got it fixed, i found my cd, but thanks for the help
