Can''t Get On To Any Servers On Multiplayer.

I need some help with Freelancer multiplayer, I can't seem to connect to any games it keeps on coming up with a box saying that it is taking longer than usual to connect and then it says it can not connect. Do you have any idea what this problem is, any help would be great.

This happened to me once. Turned out my modem was fooked. I suggest you re-install ur modem drivers if u can. If not, erm, go destroy ur current modem and buy a new one?

Gee that's sad since there are people playing this game on dialup with like 800Mhz machines on a TNT2...

King ur mistaken. I play on an old P3 600EB and freelancer runs absolutely fine at about 1/3 detail level on an old crappy ATI xpert2000. In fact the game seems to run a lot better on my old school crap than on everyone's fancy new video cards which all seem to have driver issues.

All you need for lag is a decent connection.. I have fast cable (2mbit/sec).

People...STOP MAKING FUN OF OTHER PEOPLE'S COMPUTERS!!!!

I have gotten FL to work on a PII 550, with 128 megs of ram...Looked like crap...but it ran fine...Didn't dare stay too long on my server...because that computer is on dialup....

To connect to MP, unless you are running a server...You may need to open ports on your router. Being that I don't know what router you have...can't help you with that...But I know it's in the Forwarding section....You may also have to know your computer's LAN IP address.

Refer to your Routers documentation to find that...To find your IP address on your lan...Drop to command prompt, and if you have windows 9x....Use winipcfg
If you have Windows 2000/XP use just ipconfig

If you have DirectX8.1 instead of 9 this happens too.
