I got the same I upgraded to xp now it runs real slow. I tried all the usual stuff video drivers etc but everything else runs fine anyway any suggestions???

I found a simple but crued solutionn to my problem. When I turn the music and sound of it plays smooth... so my guess is its my POS "DELL" soundcard ( no Im not using an actual DELL computer...It blew up) Im using XP professional.

I had this problem for awhile too with XP Home edition. It was caused by one of those "recommended" downloads that Windows Update installed. Unfortunately, I'm at work and can't remember the number of the update in question. I know it started with a "Q" and then a long string of numbers. Anyway, this particular update is known to bog down XP. Once you un-install it (presuming you're having the same problem I did), things should improve. Good luck.
