Why?

Hello,

I have read in here that we can work for any partie we want on Freelancer. So why am I always with the LSF doing some jobs for them. I am trying with junkers or other nation, but they say my rep is no good and can't a job from any of them, am I missing something in here? You have to know that I have this game for only 3 day's, so am a newbee :-)

Thank you,

Cobras

Get this from the download section:

File name: MP Neutrality
File size : 0.8KB
Category: Addons
Date: 03-05-2003 06:49:13
Description: Created by Integer Man ([email protected]).

This makes new characters neutrally aligned instead of aligned with the LSF (as Trent is in single player). Basically, people are half as friendly or half as hostile as they were in single player. The result is a character that is easier to customize from the start in multiplayer.

This is one of the main features of FL. Changing alliances. There are a number of ways to achieve this.
1. You will notice that different factions have different allies and enemies. Killing a lot of any factions enemies will increase your favour with that faction. Similarly killing faction allies will make enemies of them. This is a 'small steps' strategy and takes time.
2. Find a faction who is an allie of whomever you are trying to ingratiate yourself with and do missions for them. You rating with the other allied faction will improve over time a little.
3. If you are only just neutral and want to increase favour to the point at which they offer you stuff, one way is to join formation with a patrol of that faction, and kill whatever they kill.
4. Buy a bribe. Quickest, easiest, most expensive. There are bribe location spoilers somewhere on LR. I think.
