problems with xp, voodoo 3 and freelancer

I just upgraded to xp and freelancer is messed up.
It worked fine before on win98 but now the loading screen flashes like crazy and all the text from the menus is missing

Maybe XP doesn't support the Voodoo series of cards since they are quite old...

yeah mal.. think it has to do with the voodoo drivers- you have to get the hacked ones off voodoofiles that work with direct x 8- dunno if there's a direct x 9 driver for xp.. used to own the v3500 and upgraded to ati after had problems with c&c generals- same problems your describing.. the voodoo is a great card = just no official support
