I AM BEGGING FOR HELP NOW!!!!!!

Ok so i posted this the other day and i am still waiting for a response...

Does anyone know any fixes for the Rage Series of ATI video cards? I have an ATI Rage Pro Expert 2000 32 MEG APG card, and it crashes everytime i play the game. I have takin the hardware acceleration 2 notches down, and disabled all sound Acceleration in Direct X9...THIS SUCKS!!! IT SAYS NOWHERE IN ANY DOCUMENTATION THAT THIS CARD WILL NOT WORK WITH FREELANCER!!! CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT?? I REALLY LOVE THIS GAME, AND I REALLY DONT WANT TO HAVE TO GO OUT AND BUY A NEW VIDEO CARD JUST SO I CAN PLAY THIS GAME (well maybe i dont want to this weekend, but gimme 2 weeks i will probaly have a new card...lol) So if you could let me know anything and everything about this card it would be greatly appretiated....

Have you updated to the latest drivers from MS and/or ATI for the card? Also, which OS are you running?

Rest of system specs would help too

oh yeah, sorry about that i forgot...i am running w2k, p3 1.1 ghz, 512 pc133, tyan s1854 mobo, i have tried all the drivers i could get my hands on...9/26/2001 is the date for the drivers i have now, i have the sound acceleration disable, and the graphics acceleration down 2 notches, i can play but only for like 5 minutes at the most, if i reinstall the game i can play for longer (but thats time consuming and annoying)...any help would be appretiated..

This probably won't help, but i have a completely different system, experiencing the same problem. Did it by any chance originally say that it didn't recognise the card?? Happens for a lot of people, but still seems to go on OK... UNTIL....

U did say Win2k right? well.. thats a good bet why.. not guarenteeing anythin here.. but Direct3d and win2k jus dont get along very well... and drivers for win2k arent exactly made the same either as oppose to a driver for XP or ME, try it with the same vidcard.. on a different O/S

Mate,
Your not the only one with problems. I have a generic clevo laptop, winxp, p3 1.1GHz, 256 RAM, 64 shared video RAM, SIS 630/730 integrated video. Everything is cool until i get to the start screen where the only text the shows is 'new game'. All othe rtext objects during the game don't show either and half the time the people are standing in the middle of solid objects. I've tried everything. I am taking th egame back tomorrow for a refund. If i do manage to make it go i'll let you know. M$=****ed
