FreeLancer fatal error...

hi, long time reader first time poster. Right, as in the topic title i get this before i get into the game (which worked fine yesterday). Basically in the window it says something like this:

freelancer fatal error
Freelancer did not detect a 3D capable video card in your system, if you have a 3D capable video card installed please try rebooting. You maybe need to re-install the game.

Now, i tried rebooting, i re-installed the game. I even opened up my rig to see if the card was pushed in all the way. Which is was. If nobody here knows what, or why it's doing this i would be greatful.

My PC incase yu wanted to know:
AMD XP1700+ @1.46ghz
256mb DDR ram
ATI radeon sapphire 9000 pro with catalyst 3.2 drivers
